Come Join us for Roundtable!!!

 

Roundtable takes place on the 2nd Thursday of each month and is held at Saddleback Church in the Children’s Ministry Building.  We start at 7 pm and are typically done by about 8:30 pm.

 

Roundtables support unit leaders through delivering effective program ideas, relationship development, and timely communication.  It’s where you get announcements about things going on in your district and council.

 

Roundtables also provide an opportunity for sharing experiences and enjoying fun and fellowship with other leaders.

There are two main purposes of Roundtable:

 

  1. Roundtables provide unit service that will assist unit leaders in preparing their youth to live the values of the Scout Oath and Law.   
  2. Roundtables support unit leaders through delivering effective program ideas, relationship development, and timely communication.   

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND ROUNDTABLES?

All unit leaders, unit committee members, chartered organization representatives (CORs) and commissioners should attend Roundtable, but in the busy world today, it is understood that with everyone’s full schedules that all leaders might not be able to attend EVERY monthly Roundtable.

 

But it is almost ALWAYS possible that at least one leader from each unit is available to attend the monthly Roundtable.

 

Some units schedule rotations for their leaders to attend Roundtable to make sure there is always someone there each month.

 

Our Saddleback District Roundtable also hosts our Eagle Scout Book-Check.  This is the oppertunity for Eagle candidates to turn in their Eagle Scout Rank application.  If you’re a Scout, more information on book-check is available here.

New for 2026: Roundtable Raffle
If you’ve ever attended a Roundtable, you know it’s an engaging time to network with other Scouters, hear relevant Council & District updates, and share tips with others. We believe in the importance of this once a month, 90-minute gathering so much that we’re adding something NEW for 2026…the Roundtable Raffle. 
 
Each month, all unit leaders’ names will be printed on slips of paper and placed in a jar. During the Roundtable Raffle, one unit leader’s name will be drawn…if it’s you, and you’re there, YOU WIN! If you’re not there, the prize gets added to the next month. It’s simple… come to Roundtable and you could win (more than just nuggets of Scouting wisdom and District tidbits).
