Saddleback District Eagle Scout Procedures

The 2010 version of the Eagle Scout Application is available and is linked to below. The previous version will be accepted through the end of 2010.

The old Life to Eagle “packet” has been eliminated. The documents and information is now available on the Orange County Council Advancement site: Advancement Life to Eagle documents. This includes electronic versions of the Eagle Leadership Service Project Workbook.

Application Process:

The Saddleback District Eagle Scout application submission process is explained in the PDF document here (December 2009).

Eagle Scout Processing Checklist is available here.

After reviewing the District application submission process, you can print the blank Eagle reference letter from here. The letters should be mailed by the person writing the reference to the Advancement Chairman, Pat Robinson at the address on first sheet. You need to submit 5 or 6 references (confidential appraisals) from the following:

• 1 teacher\educator
• 1 religious (parent letter, if not currently attending a church)
• 1 employer (if currently employed)
• 3 Adult friends (not a relative or current Scout leader)

Eagle Scout Board of Review:

An Eagle Scout Board of Review Overview is available here.

Once an Eagle Scout candidate has submitted their application and it has been verified and references received, their Board of Review will be scheduled. The candidate will be notified by the District Board of Review Scheduler of their Board of Review date and time. Eagle Scout Board of Review Scheduler, Jackie Cadiuex 949-581-1474

Saddleback District Eagle Scout Board of Reviews are normally scheduled for the 3rd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
